About The Fairs
Following the success of our two
pre-events in the autumn and winter of last year, Atomic events
announce the launch of its quarterly retro and vintage fair ‘Vintage
Vogue’.
Located in Brentwood, Essex, it is just 30 minutes
journey time from London Liverpool St mainline station and just 2 miles
off the M25 @ junction 28. The fair takes place in a superb purpose
built indoor sports arena, with Bar / Café facilities, and free car
parking (dedicated area for stallholders).
The Fair is open to
anyone who has an interest in vintage or retro merchandise from the
early to mid 20th century. Whether you have a liking for arts and
crafts, art nouveau, art deco modernist or pop art, we are sure that
you will find something of interest.
Vintage Vogue is
different from the average fair. We realise there is a wide interest in
early to mid 20th century items, but, the traditional bric-a-brac and
ornaments still seen at most general antique and vintage fairs, are no
longer a feature in from the modern home, and therefore do not appeal
to the younger generation who look for clean lines in designs that were
first seen in the late 1940's and early 1950s designs of such as
Charles and Ray Eames and Mies Van der Rohe or a 'Barcelona' chair, or
'Anglepoise' lamp! For these reasons, we try to handpick our stall
holders as much as possible so that we can make sure of the type and
quality dealers/traders items. Secondly, we look at how well
stalls are set up and the merchandise displayed. After all, it has to
be pleasing to the public in order to catch the eye. We are very
focused in our approach.
Our aim is to attract this
market and include the type of retro or vintage merchandise that
younger buyers will go for. Fashion and fashion accessories is one
example that is very sought-after by the younger set, yet none of the
major antique / vintage trade fairs include clothes.
You will
find, stalls containing sought after furniture, jewellery, prints,
ceramics, lighting, glassware, books and magazines, toys and games,
sporting memorabilia, cameras, cards and coins as well as fashion and
fashion accessories such as hats, shoes lingerie etc, in a friendly
atmosphere
with ambient vintage music to set the mood!
So,
why not give yourself a break from the usual run of the mill, come, and
sample something new and fresh.
