'If you can't beat em...'

'Vintage Vogue' continues to create a stir. Just recently after being asked to leave their event. the oily's at P&A who run a fashion only fair in London seem really rattled. Indeed they have just announced the following...

are launching a new event called 'vintage fashion, jewellery, art deco and art retro fair', the organisers feel will be in tune with followers, coins the title 'art retro'

For event organisers who have been running large scale events in London for some while, it just shows how some new blood (albeit outside of London) with fresh ideas as ours, can make people sit up and listen! BTW What's Art Retro?

'Christmas Vintage Vogue'

What better place is there to get your Christmas gift idea's than to come along to our christmas fair on Sunday December 7th, usual place, time etc. you are sure to find something special, certainly original, and better quality than you can find on the high street!

'We're on Radio'

Just released by Phoenix FM, the radio interview with Stephen that aired prior to the July 27th Fair... clicking here will take you to the Phoenix FM site. You can download the file from there Do allow a few moments to reach the site though.

'We're flattered'

They say that copying is the sincerest form of flattery. You can imagine our amusement then, when coming across this on a fellow organiser's site recently. Although not word for word, it forms part of our stallholders pack and refered to in a recent communique to a certain trade newspaper...

"New Exhibitors are always welcome but will be expected to have goods of a reasonable standard to exhibit in a friendly an professional manner.
We will do our best by providing good venues, advertising, signs and porters.
It is up to you to do yours by offering well priced quality goods for sale and taking an interest in and engaging with the customers.
We reserve the right to refuse first time or future bookings to sellers we deem incompatible with our fairs".

'Singing in the Rain' - Vintage Vogue October 08

The great thing about indoor fairs is, you don't get wet!  Sunday 5th October was certainly a day for indoor activities and over 450 people spent the day at Vintage Vogue.  The stallholders were certainly kept busy as many people were buying, even though we are experiencing the so called "credit crunch".  Our visitors (including dealers from London, chomping at the bit to be let in before opening time) were yet again treated to a host of great quality stalls selling a selection of vintage and retro merchandise from clothing and accessories, homewares, jewellery, bric-a-brac and many other great items.  Music on the day was supplied courtesy of one of the top Swing DJs in the country, "Fascinating Rhythm".  If you missed this event, you certainly will not want to miss the next Vintage Vogue on Sunday 7th December with even more stallholders to satisy the hungry vintage collectors out there!!

Tittle Tattle & Tantrums

We know people can be vindictive, but when publishers start omitting details from your advertisements for no apparent reason, it's just childish, to say the least. But when the publication in question is the champion of certain oily individuals, well it's only to be expected. None the less, it certainly didn't stop the more adult minded attending Vintage Vogue last Weekend!
